hard to accept when the tables have turned
once the prized pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
now the eager believer chasing the leprechaun down the hill
down the hill.
thats honestly how it feels on unfamiliar territory,
inevitably feeling out of place and uncomfortable in ones own mind.
rode that train of thought just a few stops passed the intended destination.
once confident enough to own any situation,
now always second guessing every movement and thought.
how different. how discouraging.
just a matter of time before realizing there is no pot of gold at the end of that rainbow
only a puddle of murky water that happened to catch the sunlight in such a way.
murky waters. thats exactly what it is.
